Katy Perry?

I was urged by a few people to post this awesome video of my daughter on my blog...for those that aren't friends with me on Facebook.

The back story around this song is that she went to a Daddy/Daughter dance with my husband about a month ago at her dance studio. She danced with her dance teacher (who she loves) to this song and we've basically been listening to it ever since. Enjoy!!

Monday

In case you weren't aware, it's Monday...again. Bleh!

On the up side, we're that much closer to the weekend. So drink your caffeine and try to hide out until about 5pm!

I wonder if I could just get an IV of Starbucks Chai Latte?  It's literally the greatest drink ever!

Weekend Randoms

We had a fun but incredibly busy weekend!  They always seem more hectic when you've been flying mostly solo because your husband has had crazy shifts at work!  I think we saw him 1 night last week for the entire night.

My cousin and his wife were visiting from Colorado, so we met up with my family for dinner when I got off work Friday evening. Of course Edwin had to work late yet again, so it was just Peyton and I.  It was so great to see them both!

When I got home and put her to bed, I spent the rest of the evening working on Jamberry stuff. I'm seriously having so much fun with it already!  I did my first manicure Friday and immediately got questions about my nails when we were at dinner. In fact, I've been asked about my nails ALL weekend!  Here's a pic of my 1st manicure attempt...

I LOVE it!!!  I've had a busy weekend and my manicure is still going strong!

Saturday Peyton had a play date with her friend Claire. They had a great time playing dress up, painting, decorating cupcakes and running around.

We celebrated my Nana's birthday that evening and had a great time eating and listening to stories about when she was young. I could sit for hours listening to her!

Then today we had church then went out to lunch with a couple from our church afterward. After nap time Peyton and I ran errands, did crafts and she crashed hard.

We're all exhausted and I can't believe tomorrow is already Monday!  But for now I'm going to relax and enjoy The Walking Dead!!!!!

I hope you all had a great weekend!

Announcement!

Let me start off by saying that NO, I'm not pregnant!  Most of you know that I'm both a Mommy and I work full time.  I'm truly blessed to have a good job with great benefits, but even with 2 full time incomes things come up.  We've had a few of those large, unexpected expenses pop up recently and they were no fun!  I'm not a fan of credit cards and really want to work on growing our "nest egg" for savings, unexpected emergencies, vacations, etc...

That being said, I've decided to take on a new side venture with a company I just recently learned about.  As of today....

I am a new consultant for Jamberry Nails!!!

I actually found out about this company from a sweet blogging buddy, Ashlynn (check out her blog).  She just recently became a consultant and had her first party on Facebook.  I was immediately hooked when I looked at the website and saw how incredible this product is.  Those that know me know my toenails are ALWAYS painted and I love keeping my fingernails painted.  But let's face it, nail polish chips by day 2...3 if you're lucky.  I get so tired of always repainting my fingernails.  With Jamberry's I don't have to, and they're so much more fun than bland polish!

You're probably asking "what in the world is Jamberry"?  They're non-toxic nail wraps that bond and seal to your nails with nothing but heat from your hairdryer!  They last up to 2 weeks on fingernails and 4-6 weeks on toenails.

They seriously have a pattern for any outfit you could imagine.  If you're not in to funky patterns, that's fine too.  There are tons of solid colors, french tips, etc...  With spring and summer coming, these things are a dream come true for me!

Another thing I love is that they have Jamberry's for kids!  My almost 4 year old is already requesting different patterns and I love the thought of not having to paint her nails every few days!

If you have any questions or want to know more about Jamberry, feel free to email me at Jessecu82@yahoo.com.  You can also go on my website and place an order or book a party any time you want by visiting www.jessicakillette.jamberrynails.net.  I can't wait to hear from you!

I've been trying out some different styles and will be posting here, on my Facebook page as well as Instagram (@Jessecu82).

Daddy/Daughter Dance

So whats been going on since the last time I blogged?  A lot actually, but I'm not going to do a huge post and recap all of our holiday festivities or our 2nd Annual WBTB Officer's Gala (which was amazing by the way).  I'm going to keep it current instead.

Last Friday Peyton's dance studio held their Father Daughter Dance and my sweet husband took her.  Y'all it was the cutest thing ever.  I seriously teared up when the left, like she was headed to the prom or something.  He said she had a blast!  She spent the first 20-30 mins dancing with a friend before it got too crowded, then danced with her Daddy after it got super crowded.  Her dance teacher danced with her to Katy Perry's song "Roar" and we had to listen to that song ALL weekend on repeat...I'm not even exaggerating.

I'm so blessed to have a husband that's willing to do things like this with his little girl...I know too many who aren't!  I love making these memories!

Best Night Ever!

Last night was arguably one of the greatest nights of my life. Myself and 3 friends went to see the one and only Justin Timblerlake concert. We were so pumped even though we were nosebleed and had to seat apart from each other (2 and 2). We had drinks and dinner before and headed to the arena.

After getting to the 2nd floor and grabbing some beers, my phone rang. It was a friend that shall remain nameless and she told me to get down to the 1st floor, she had better tickets for us.

We hurried down, expecting to be in the 100's instead of 200's. WE WERE 8th ROW!  Did you read that right...EIGHTH ROW!!!

I think the 4 of us shook and screamed most of the concert, I'm still in shock. In case you were wondering, yes he is just as sexy in person, yes he sounds just as amazing live and yes he really dances the entire time. Homeboy started at 9pm, took 1 short break and went until midnight.

I got both of his albums on iTunes when they came out and he did most of the new stuff, all his older hits and even threw in some MJ, Elvis and Bell Biv Devoe!

Best.night.ever!

Small Group Mountain Trip

Last year our small group went on a mountain retreat to Maggie Valley. We had such a great time, we decided to do it again this year.

This time around we picked Banner Elk and y'all, this house was ah-mazing!!  I'm still blown away with how little we paid for a 3 story, 5 BR, 3 1/2 bath house with a hot tub. Here are a few shots of this house...and yes that's our bedroom with its own fireplace (I was in love).

We spent the first day unpacking, exploring, eating and hanging out around the campfire. The next day was our hiking day. We ended up near Blowing Rock on Rough Ridge Trail. It was a good pick...strenuous enough but not overkill. The views were gorgeous and the weather was cold!  We explored Blowing Rock after our hike and did some shopping, then went back to clean up and go to dinner.

It was great to spend time and fellowship  with this wonderful group of people...I can't wait to do it again next year. However, I REALLY missed this munchkin!

And she REALLY liked my boiled peanuts ;-)
